Our team is made up of several knowledgeable stylists, most of whom have been at our salon for over three years. The education and product knowledge that they have obtained is unsurpassed. We have a deep commitment to the Bumble and bumble line of hair care products, and attend cutting and product knowledge classes at BbU, the state of the art hair care school located in the Meat Packing District in New York City.
Dianne moved to Portland from Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1996. After a brief stint at a local salon, she opened Halo. When the time came to choose her retail products, she forged a lasting relationship with Bumble and bumble.
Dianne has frequently traveled to New York and San Francisco to attend hands on classes on razor cutting, color and styling. Her commitment to education is passed on to her stylists as well. With well over 20 years behind the chair, she is confident in color and the use of a razor. She specializes in corrective color and Asian hair cutting.
Joelle’s career in hair started in 2006 after attending the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in Seattle. She has been at Halo since 2007 and has received ongoing education with Aveda, Goldwell, and Bumble and bumble. Joelle loves hair in all shapes and tones and prides herself in taking great care in executing her work. Whether you have a long classic style or short bold hair, Joelle will help craft a look that best reflects you!
Jessica started her salon journey with an apprenticeship to refine and enhance her cut and color techniques. When she knew she was ready, she found and joined the Halo team, where she has been for the past 12 years. In her pursuit of knowledge she has taken many classes including razor cuts and long hair and curly hair specialty techniques at the Bumble and bumble University in New York, as well as several Goldwell color application classes here in Portland. She is also certified in the Coppola Keratin Smoothing System.
Personally, Jessica loves all things “Hair”. She knew this by age 10, when she began cutting not only baby dolls and barbie dolls hair, but her younger sister’s hair as well. Because of her love to work with all kinds of hair types she has developed a highly diverse clientele, and enjoys each and every one of them. If you are maintaining and refreshing your current look, or creating a whole new one, Jessica would like to invite you to become an important part of her amazing clientele.
Lauren has been practicing within the industry since 2006, with a focus on hair for over six years. She specializes in haircutting and coloring for men and women, as well as event hairstyling, fusion bond hair extensions, and keratin infusion smoothing treatments. She consistently strives to create a memorable experience for her clients, starting with an in-depth consultation to achieve the best style combination to fit their lifestyle and maintenance routines. Lauren asks many questions, listens to your individual needs, and considers your preferences and past experiences to satisfy your hair goals.
Since graduating from the European Institute of Cosmetology in Portland Oregon, Lauren’s passion for hair has expanded within ongoing education classes through the years. She has gained inspiration through training with Bumble and bumble, Goldwell, Wella, So.Cap USA hair extensions, Keratin Complex, Oribe, Davines, Joico, Unite, and Kevin Murphy to name a few. She finds that the more knowledge she gains through education, the more she can offer clients to be on-point, precise, and up to date with current trends.
